Sashiko Smalls

Choose your own hand stitching journey! Sashiko is a Japanese embroidery technique which uses a simple running stitch to create bold and
geometric patterns on textiles. In this freestyle workshop, participants of all abilities will transform fabric squares with Sashiko’s "small stabs". Whether you want to lay out and draw patterns from scratch or keep it simple with pattern and floral motif stencils, the stitched squares will be made into useful and unique home goods or accessories; drawstring pouch, coaster, pin cushion, or sachet. All skill levels are welcome from hand stitching first-timers to Sashiko alums!

The cost of the workshop includes a class kit ($20 value) includes all communal tools and materials plus a pair of Sashiko needles, fabric
squares, and take home pattern instructions.
